Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its result. Henry County Criminal History does not keep a separate log or database of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may receive routine technical details about the request:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them

Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Henry County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a personal criminal-record database. It publishes directions to official custodians, including the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Iowa District Court, Iowa DCI, and the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not turned into a third-party dossier or consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies supply the search tools. Information submitted inside a tool is handled under that company's privacy policy and retention practices, which this policy does not control. Review the provider's terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Henry County government, Iowa Courts Online, Iowa DCI, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's policy governs the visit. Check that policy before disclosing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is controlled by their policies.

Iowa's public criminal-record framework is distinct: Iowa Code chapter 22 governs records held by public bodies, while Iowa Code chapter 692 governs criminal-history dissemination and subject challenge rights. For information held directly by this private site, you may:
- Request deletion of eligible personal information
- Object to certain forms of processing
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request a copy of information kept about you
